NORTH PERTH, ON) - On February 24, 2019 at 4:45 a.m., members of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), Perth County detachment were called by a concerned citizen about a possible impaired driver in the Municipality of North Perth.
OPP officers responded quickly and the driver was located operating a vehicle in the lane of oncoming traffic on Line 55. Officers determined that his ability to operate a motor vehicle was impaired. He was arrested and transported to the Sebringville OPP detachment for further testing.
Lau MAUNG, 37-years-old, of the Township of Morris-Turnberry was arrested and charged with;
Operation while impaired - alcohol
Operation while impaired - blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
He is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice, Stratford on March 25, 2019 to answer the charges.
