(TOWN OF MINTO, ON) - On Monday February 4, 2019 at approximately 3:30 p.m. an Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officer was monitoring traffic on Elora Street North, Harriston. The officer stopped the driver of a black pickup truck who was texting while driving.
While speaking with the male driver, officers formed the opinion that he was impaired by alcohol. He was arrested and brought to a local OPP Operations Centre for further testing.
Andrzej Krzysztof MIDURA, 30-years-old of Minto has been charged with Impaired Operation and Impaired Operation - 80mg plus of alcohol per 100mL of blood. He was also charged with driving with a Hand Held Communication Device and Failing to Wear a Seat Belt. A 90-day Administrative Driver's Licence Suspension (A.D.L.S.) and 7-day Vehicle Impoundment was initiated as per statute. He is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice on March 15, 2019.
