(WEST PERTH, ON) - On March 14, 2019 at approximately 6:30 p.m., members of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), West Perth detachment were called by a concerned citizen about a pickup with loud exhaust performing a stunt of doing 'donuts' in a farm field in the Municipality of West Perth.
OPP officers responded quickly and the driver was located. Officers determined that the driver's ability to operate a motor vehicle was impaired. The driver was arrested and transported to the Sebringville OPP detachment for further testing.
Ronald VANWINGERDEN, 20-years-old, of the Municipality of West Perth was arrested and charged with;
Operation while impaired - blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
He is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice, Stratford on April 1, 2019 to answer the charges.
