(TOWNSHIP OF CENTRE WELLINGTON, ON) - On Friday, April 12, 2019 at approximately 8:45 p.m., the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) was conducting a Reduce Impaired Driving Everywhere (R.I.D.E.) check on Wellington Road 21 in Inverhaugh, Ontario. A Black Sports Utility Vehicle (S.U.V.) entered the R.I.D.E check and while speaking with the male driver, officers formed the opinion that he was under the influence of alcohol. A Roadside Screening test was conducted which resulted in a fail. He was arrested and brought to a local OPP Operations Centre for further testing.
Kenneth H. O'NEIL, 57-years-old of Delhi has been charged with Impaired Operation - 80mg plus of alcohol per 100mL of blood. A 90-day Administrative Driver's Licence Suspension (A.D.L.S.) and 7-day Vehicle Impoundment was initiated as per statute. He is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice on May 17, 2019.
