(MONKTON, ON) - A Reduce Impaired Driving Everywhere (RIDE) check resulted in the locating of an impaired driver in the Municipality of North Perth. The driver tried to avoid the RIDE program and was stopped by police shortly after 11:30 p.m. on May 14, 2019.
Through investigation, it was determined that the driver had consumed alcohol. He failed a road side test and was arrested and transported to the Sebringville OPP detachment for further testing.
Kyle EAST, 23-years-old, of the Municipality of Central Huron was arrested and charged with;
Operation while impaired - blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
Careless driving
Driving while under suspension
Operate a motor vehicle without insurance
Use plate not authorized for vehicle
He is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice, Stratford on June 3, 2019 to answer the charges.
