(LONDON, ON) - On June 24, 2019, at approximately 5:30 p.m., members of the Middlesex County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), London Fire Department and Middlesex-London Emergency Medical Services (EMS) were dispatched to a motor vehicle collision on the Highbury Avenue access ramp to Highway 401, in the City of London.
Upon further investigation, police determined that the driver had consumed alcohol. The driver was requested to provide a road-side breath sample and the driver registered a 'FAIL'. The driver was arrested and transported to a police station for further testing.
As a result of the police investigation, Vadim KOURILIOUK, 53-year-old of Mississauga, Ontario was charged with Operation while impaired - blood alcohol concentration (80 plus), pursuant to the Criminal Code of Canada (CC).
The accused was issued a 90 day Automatic Drivers Licence Suspension (ADLS), and the vehicle was impounded for seven days. They are scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in London, Ontario on July 23, 2019.
