(EXETER, ON) - On July 13, 2019, at approximately 5:45 p.m., members of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), South Huron detachment responded to the report of a possible impaired driver that had struck several items and then pulled into a restaurant in Exeter.
OPP officers responded quickly and the driver was located. Officers determined that his ability to operate a motor vehicle was impaired. He was arrested and transported to the Exeter OPP detachment for further testing.
Yves LEONARD, 57-years-old, of London was charged the following;
Operation while impaired - alcohol
Operation while impaired - blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
His driver's licence was seized and a 90 Administrative Driver's Licence Suspension (ADLS) was imposed. The vehicle was towed and impounded.
He is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice, Goderich on July 29, 2019 to answer the charges.
