(NEW HAMBURG, ON) - On July 30, 2019 at approximately 6:15 p.m., members of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Perth County detachment, Waterloo Region Paramedic Services and Wilmot Township and Perth East Fire Departments responded to the scene of a collision involving three motor vehicles.
The collision occurred at the intersection Wilmot-Easthope Road and Huron Road, west of New Hamburg.
A 32-year-old female from Kitchener was driving a Chevrolet sedan south on Wilmot-Easthope Road and had stopped to make a left turn on to Huron Street, New Hamburg. The Chevrolet sedan was struck from behind by a Chevrolet pickup being driven by a 71-year-old male from East-Zorra Tavistock. The Chevrolet sedan then collided with a Ford sedan traveling north on Wilmot-Easthope Road. The Ford sedan was being driven by a 32-year-old male from Burlington.
The female driver and a passenger of the Chevrolet sedan as well as male driver of the Ford sedan were transported to a local hospital with minor injuries.
John KROPF, 71-years-old, from East-Zorra Tavistock was charged with Careless driving and was issued a Provincial Offence Notice (PON).
