(TOWNSHIP OF WELLINGTON NORTH, ON) - On September 8, 2019 at approximately 8:50 a.m. members of the Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a suspicious vehicle occurrence on Durham Street East involving a pick-up truck idling in the area for approximately two hours.
Officers located the vehicle and woke-up the driver who was sleeping behind the wheel. Investigation revealed that the driver was in possession of a large quantity of marihuana and methamphetamine and was placed under arrest.
Bryce Johnathon SHAW, 20-years-old of Grey Highlands has been charged with Possession of Methamphetamine contrary to the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act, Possession of Over 30 grams of Dried Cannabis (or Equivalent) in a Public Place and Possession of 1 or More Cannabis Plants in a Public Place contrary to the Cannabis Act.
The accused will appear in Guelph Criminal Court on October 11, 2019 to answer to the charges.
