(DUBLIN, ON) - On September 18, 2019 at approximately 2:30 a.m., members of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), West Perth detachment responded to the report of a motor vehicle in a corn field with a possible impaired driver near Dublin.
Officers responded quickly and located the motor vehicle. In speaking with the male driver, it was determined that the driver's ability to operate a motor vehicle was impaired. The driver was arrested and transported to the Sebringville OPP detachment for further testing.
Daryn JORNA, 24-years-old, of Seaforth was arrested and charged with;
Operation while impaired - alcohol
Operation while impaired - blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
The male is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice, Stratford on October 7, 2019 to answer the charges.
The male driver had his driver's licence seized and a 90 Administrative Driver's Licence Suspension (ADLS) was imposed. The motor vehicle was towed and impounded by statute.
