(TOWN OF ERIN, ON) - On September 22, 2019, at approximately 3:00 a.m. a Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officer observed a black Sport Utility Vehicle (S.U.V.) stopped on the shoulder of Wellington Road 124 near the hamlet of Ospringe. The officer approached the vehicle and found the operator asleep in the driver's seat. The officer awoke the driver and after speaking with them formed the opinion that they were impaired. They were arrested and brought to a local OPP operations centre for further testing.
As a result of the investigation, Aaron Joseph GEMMILL, 43-years-old of Sauble Beach has been charged with Impaired Operation and Impaired Operation - 80 Plus (mgs of alcohol in 100mL of blood). A 90-day Administrative Driver's Licence Suspension (A.D.L.S.) and 7-day Vehicle Impoundment was initiated as per statute. The accused is scheduled to appear in Guelph at the Ontario court of justice on October 22, 2019.
