(BLUEWATER, ON) - When you are prohibited from driving it's not a wise move to be caught driving, let alone speeding well over the limit. For one London, Ontario driver he will have to take the consequences for doing just that.
On Saturday, October 5, 2019 at approximately 10:15 a.m. a Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officer was conducting RADAR enforcement on London Road in the Municipality of Bluewater when he observed a Jeep travelling southbound at a high rate of speed. A RADAR device was used to measure the speed of the vehicle and it revealed the vehicle was travelling nearly 40 km/h over the 80 km/h speed limit.
A traffic stop was conducted and upon checking the licence status of the driver the investigating officer learned the driver was currently prohibited from driving for three Criminal Code driver's licence suspensions.
As a result, the driver, Sean BACH 25 years of age from London has been charged with three counts of Drive While Prohibited. The accused was released from custody with a court appearance scheduled for November 4, 2019 at the Ontario Court of Justice - Goderich. The involved motor vehicle was also seized and impounded for an automatic 45-day impoundment.
