(LISTOWEL, ON) - Members of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), North Perth detachment, responded to a complaint about federal election signs being damaged in Listowel.
Through the police investigation is was determined that election signs have been damaged as well as some have been removed and discarded.
The OPP continue to investigate and want to remind citizens that you can be charged with a Criminal Code offence of Mischief for damaging property like an election sign.
Anyone that is convicted of Mischief can face a fine imposed by the court or imprisonment up to 2 years.
