(HURON EAST, ON) - A 32-year-old from South Huron has been charged with Operation While Impaired - Blood Alcohol Concentration (BAC) 80 plus following a two-vehicle crash that took place last Friday.
On October 11, 2019 at approximately 5:24 p.m. Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers were dispatched to attend a two-vehicle crash located on Brussels Line. The subsequent investigation determined the accused failed to slow down for a vehicle that he was following thus resulting in a rear-end collision.
Upon speaking with the accused the investigating officer detected the odour of alcohol on the driver's breath thus prompting a roadside test. The driver provided a sample of his breath and the test resulted in a fail. The driver was placed under arrest and was transported to the Listowel OPP for breath tests. Both of his samples provided to the Intoxilizer Technician were found to be over the legal limit.
Kyle DENOMME, 32 years of age, from South Huron has been charged with Operation While Impaired - Blood Alcohol Concentration (BAC) 80 Plus and Careless Driving. He was later released from custody with a court date scheduled for November 18, 2019 at the Ontario Court of Justice - Goderich.
