(KINCARDINE, ON) - Members of the South Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Detachment remain on scene of a vehicle versus pedestrian collision that took place this afternoon in Kincardine.
At approximately 2:45 p.m. South Bruce OPP officers along with Bruce County Paramedic Services responded to the collision scene located at the intersection of Walsh Street and Durham Street.
The preliminary investigation has determined a 62-year-old female from Kincardine was walking within the intersection when she was struck by a car that was turning from Durham Street onto Walsh Street.
The injured pedestrian was transported by land ambulance to a local hospital whereupon she was later airlifted to a regional hospital with serious but non-life threatening injuries.
A charge is pending against the motor vehicle driver.
Durham Street remains open to east and westbound traffic however Walsh Street will remain closed at the intersection into the evening for the collision investigation.
