Police continued to follow the vehicle and locked it on radar at more than 100 km/h in a 40 km/h school zone. Police conducted a traffic stop and as the driver and passenger attempted to switch positions, the vehicle began to roll backwards towards the cruiser, however the operator did manage to put the vehicle into park before they collided.
