(HURON EAST, ON) - A 44-year-old from Seaforth is facing charges following an investigation by Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) pertaining to the theft of a booklet of lottery tickets.
On October 23, 2019 Huron OPP was contacted by an employee of a Seaforth based gas station. Investigators learned the business was missing a bundle of scratch off lottery tickets. Through an electronic search investigators were able to determine someone attempted to check the lottery tickets at a nearby retailer in Seaforth. Further investigation resulted in police identifying the accused in possession of the stolen lottery tickets.
The accused was arrested by Huron OPP on November 1, 2019 and has since been charged.
John LARSEN, 44 years of age from Seaforth has been charged with Possession of Property Obtained by Crime - Under $5,000 and Fail to Comply with Probation Order. He has since been released from custody with a court appearance scheduled for December 9, 2019 at the Ontario Court of Justice - Goderich.
