(TOWNSHIP OF GUELPH-ERAMOSA, ON) - On November 22, 2019, at approximately 8:00 p.m., a Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officer was monitoring traffic on Highway 6 between Guelph and Fergus. The officer observed a maroon sedan truck travelling above the posted 80 km/h speed limit. The vehicle was locked on radar in excess of 145 km/h.
As a result, Hunter GORDON, 19-years-old of Centre Wellington has been charged with Racing a Motor Vehicle contrary to the Highway Traffic Act. The defendant is scheduled to appear in Guelph at the Ontario Court of Justice - Provincial Offences Court on February 5, 2020. Their vehicle and driver's licence were seized for a period of seven days as per statute.
