(NORTH HURON, ON) - An early morning traffic stop last week has resulted in charges being laid against a Wingham resident.
On Tuesday, November 19, 2019 at approximately 9:00 a.m. a Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officer spotted a known suspended driver driving a Chevrolet Uplander on Josephine Street in Wingham.
A traffic stop was conducted and it was confirmed by the officer the driver was suspended from driving. The driver was arrested and a search incident to arrest revealed the driver to be in possession of suspected methamphetamine.
Andrew SMALL, 51 years of age from Wingham has been charged with Possession of a Schedule I Substance - Methamphetamine and two counts of Driving While Under Suspension. He has been released from custody with a court appearance scheduled for December 23, 2019 at the Ontario Court of Justice - Goderich.
