(BRUCE TOWNSHIP, ON) - Just after 6:00 a.m. on October 18, 2019 members of the South Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) and Bruce County Paramedic Services attended a fail to remain motor vehicle collision on Bruce County Road 33 where a cyclist was hit.
The injured cyclist, a 58-year-old from Port Elgin, was taken to hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.
Investigators determined that the cyclist was southbound on Bruce County Road 33 when they were struck by a southbound pickup truck. The pickup truck was not at the scene when officers arrived.
Steve GRABOWSKI, 51 years old, of Meaford has been charged with Fail to Remain and Obstruct Peace Officer contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada. He is scheduled to appear in court on December 11, 2019 to answer to the charges.
