(LISTOWEL, ON) - On November 30, 2019 at approximately 9:30 p.m., a member of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), Perth County detachment was on general patrol of Line 86, east of Listowel and observed a pickup driving erratically in its lane. The officer conducted a traffic stop to check on the driver.
While speaking with the driver, the officer determined that the pickup had been stolen. The driver was arrested and charged.
David ERNEST, 27-years-old, of Woodstock was arrested and charged with;
Theft Over $5,000 of a Motor Vehicle
Possession Property Obtained by Crime Over $5,000
Driving while under suspension
The driver was held for a bail hearing in the Ontario Court of Justice, London on December 1, 2019 to answer the charges.
