(NORTH HURON, ON) - Some patrols early this morning in the Town of Wingham has resulted in police arresting and charging a wanted male.
At approximately 3:16 a.m. (12Dec) a Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officer spotted a wanted male sleeping at a laundromat located on Josephine Street. Officers made contact with the male and placed him under arrest for an outstanding bench warrant.
A search incident to arrest revealed the male to be in possession of suspected methamphetamine, break-in tools and stolen property consisting of ignition keys, jewellery and coins.
Sunday SALTER, 27 years of age from South Bruce has been charged Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5,000, Possession of Break-in Instruments and Possession of a Schedule I Substance - Methamphetamine. He has since been released from custody with a court appearance scheduled for January 20, 2020 at the Ontario Court of Justice - Goderich.
