(MORRIS-TURNBERRY & NORTH HURON, ON) - Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers are investigating a string of smash and grab style thefts from parked vehicles in the Town of Wingham and surrounding area.
On Monday, December 16, 2019 Huron OPP officers responded to a business located on Arthur Street just outside of Wingham to investigate a mischief and theft occurrence. Upon arrival officers learned sometime between 5:30 p.m. on December 14th and 7:00 a.m. on December 16th someone entered into the company parking lot and smashed out the passenger side windows of three vehicles. Once inside the vehicles the thief searched around and stole various items.
Some of the stolen items included a Dewalt hammer drill, a Dewalt impact driver, a Dewalt jigsaw, a Dewalt oscillating tool, a Ryobi pin nailer and three Dewalt 20 volt batteries.
