(MORRIS-TURNBERRY, ON) - Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has laid numerous charges against a Bluevale resident in connection with an incident that took place last week in Bluevale.
On January 28, 2020 Huron OPP members along with several specialized units responded to an Orange Street residence in Bluevale to check on the well-being of a resident and to conduct a firearms related investigation.
A male subject was taken into custody that afternoon and the subsequent investigation conducted by members of the Huron County OPP Crime Unit has resulted in police laying several criminal charges against the subject.
A search warrant was later executed on the premises which resulted in police seizing firearms, ammunition, prohibited devices and prohibited weapons.
Myron SHWADCHUCK, 72 years of age from Morris-Turnberry has been charged with the following offences:
Careless Storage of a Firearm (Nine counts)
Knowledge of Unauthorized Possession of a Weapon (Three counts)
Possession of a Prohibited Weapon or Ammunition (Four counts)
He remains in custody with a video court appearance scheduled for February 6, 2020 at the Ontario Court of Justice - Goderich.
