(HURON EAST, ON) - A London resident is now facing drug trafficking charges following an investigation conducted by members of the Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Detachment & the Huron-Perth Community Street Crimes Unit (CSCU).
On April 16, 2020 at approximately 9:43 p.m. as a result of drug trafficking investigation OPP members initiated a traffic stop of a vehicle on 12th Street in Vanastra. A subsequent search of the driver and the vehicle resulted in officers locating and seizing methamphetamine and suspected fentanyl. In addition, officers seized Canadian currency and drug trafficking paraphernalia consisting of drug packaging materials, a digital scale and a cell phone. Further, the motor vehicle was seized as offence related property.
The combined estimated street value of the seized controlled substances is $1,775 and the value of the seized property is estimated at $5,200.
Susan COOPER, 36 years of age from London has been charged with Possession of Methamphetamine for the Purposes of Trafficking and Possession of Fentanyl. She has since been released from custody with a court appearance scheduled for June 29, 2020 at the Ontario Court of Justice - Goderich.
