(HURON EAST, ON) - Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged a Seaforth resident with shoplifting following an occurrence that took place a couple weeks ago.
On Friday, April 10, 2020 at approximately 5:30 p.m. the accused entered into a convenience store located on Goderich Street West in Seaforth. Once inside the store the accused approached the front counter and proceeded to take an entire box of chocolate bars. The accused made no attempt to pay for the items and exited the store.
Following some investigation police were able to identify the accused and he was arrested on April 17th.
Matthew BOUVIER, 28 years of age from Seaforth has been charged with Theft Under $5,000 and two counts of Fail to Comply with Probation Order. He will have to attend court on June 22, 2020 at the Ontario Court of Justice - Goderich.
