(GODERICH) - Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged a Huron County resident with Uttering Threats and Failing to Comply with a Probation Order following an incident that took place in Goderich last week.
On Thursday, April 30, 2020 at approximately 9:44 a.m. Huron OPP members responded to a motel in Goderich after learning a patron had confronted a staff member and uttered threats against the victim.
Prior to police arrival the accused had left the scene however it didn't take long before officers tracked down the accused.
The accused was located and taken into custody without incident. Subsequent checks on the accused revealed he was currently serving a probation sentence and was breaching conditions of his release.
David THIESSEN, 27 years of age of no fixed address has been charged with Utter Threats to Cause Death, Fail to Comply with Probation Order (3 counts) and Fail to Comply with Release Order. He has since been released from custody with a court appearance scheduled for July 27, 2020 at the Ontario Court of Justice - Goderich.
