(CITY OF GUELPH, ON) - On Thursday May 7, 2020, at approximately 2:32 a.m., a Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officer was monitoring traffic on the Hanlon Parkway near Laird Road in Guelph. The officer observed a passenger vehicle travelling at a speed that appeared to be well above the posted 80 km/h speed limit. The vehicle was locked on radar in excess of 145 km/h.
24-year-old Cassandra CABELDU of Guelph has been charged with Stunt Driving contrary to the Highway Traffic Act and is scheduled to appear in Guelph Provincial Offences Court on August 19, 2020. The driver's licence and vehicle were seized for a period of seven days as per statute.
