(GODERICH, ON) - Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged a Goderich man with several domestic assault related offences following a recent investigation.
On Thursday, May 28, 2020 Huron OPP commenced a domestic violence investigation after receiving a call from the victim.
The subsequent police investigation revealed the accused had committed several acts of domestic violence against the victim over a 16-year period. The accused was taken into custody without incident on May 29, 2020.
The accused, a 57-year-old Goderich resident has been charged with Assault with a Weapon - four counts, Assault Causing Bodily Harm and Mischief Under $5,000. He has since been released from custody with a future court date.
