(BLUEWATER, ON) - A 32-year-old from Mossley will have to make a court appearance back in Huron County later this fall to answer to an Impaired Operation charge.
On June 29, 2020 at approximately 12:08 a.m. Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a call about a disturbance taking place in front of a residence located on Airport Line. OPP officers responded a short time later and located two subjects standing outside of a vehicle. Police investigation revealed the passenger of the vehicle was upset that the driver had been driving while under the influence of alcohol. Officers spoke with the driver and they determined the driver had indeed been driving while under the influence of alcohol and was displaying several signs of impairment.
As a result, the driver was placed under arrest for Impaired Operation and was transported to the Huron Detachment for breath tests. Two samples of breath were provided to the Intoxilizer Technician and both tests were analyzed to be over the legal limit.
Dustin THOMAS-MICKS, 32 years of age, from Mossley has been charged with Operation While Impaired - Blood Alcohol Concentration 80 Plus & Impaired Operation. He has since been released from custody with a court appearance scheduled for October 5, 2020 at the Ontario Court of Justice - Goderich.
