(MIDDLESEX OPP) - The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) are seeking the public's assistance to locate an outstanding pickup truck involved in a homicide investigation on the Oneida of the Thames First Nation. The pickup is described as an older model Chevrolet Silverado, green in colour, with large side rear-view mirrors. The truck is also believed to have loose tires in the truck bed.
On Monday, July 13, 2020, at approximately 8:30 p.m., members of Oneida Police Service, Middlesex County OPP, along with Middlesex OPP Major Crime Unit, responded to a homicide at a Clara Road property on Oneida Nation of the Thames First Nation. The victim died as a result of a gunshot wound and a 43 year-old man was charged with First Degree Murder.
The investigation remains ongoing, under the direction of the OPP Criminal Investigation Branch (CIB) and in partnership with the Office of the Chief Coroner for Ontario and the Ontario Forensic Pathology Services.
