(CENTRAL HURON, ON) - Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has laid four criminal charges against a Huron County resident after an incident that took place in Clinton.
At approximately 1:51 p.m. Huron OPP officers responded to a residence on Frederick Street after the accused attempted to steal a bicycle from the home. Police learned the accused was unsuccessful at this address however the accused was successful in stealing a mountain bike at another nearby home.
Officers patrolled around the area and were able to locate the accused and the bicycle a short distance away. Upon arresting the accused the accused spat on the arresting officer.
Amber COLEMAN, 28 years of age, of no fixed address has been charged with Assault a Peace Officer, Theft Under $5,000, Mischief Under $5,000 and Fail to Comply with Probation Order.
The accused has since been released from custody with a court appearance scheduled for September 14, 2020 at the Ontario Court of Justice - Goderich.
