(WEST PERTH, ON) - One person has been arrested and charged for impaired driving after their vehicle collided with a tree and fence in the Municipality of West Perth.
Just before 6:00 a.m. on August 09 2020, the Perth County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a report of the collision that occurred on Perth Road 180, in the Municipality of West Perth. The driver, who was the lone occupant of the vehicle, was not injured.
During the course of the investigation, the investigating officer formed the opinion that the driver had consumed alcohol. A Roadside Screening Device test was conducted which resulted in a fail. The driver was arrested and brought to a local OPP operations centre for further testing.
As a result, Trevor Ralph EDWARDS, 50, of Kirkton, has been charged with:

The accused has been released from custody and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Stratford, at a later date, to answer to the charge. A 90-day Administrative Driver's Licence Suspension (A.D.L.S.) and a seven-day vehicle impoundment was initiated, as per statute.
