(TOWNSHIP OF CENTRE WELLINGTON, ON) - On August 30, 2020, at approximately 10:50 p.m. the Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a disturbance in the parking lot of a business on Tower Street South in Fergus.
While speaking with one of the involved parties, police detected an odour of alcohol on that person's breath. A Roadside Screening Device test demand was read to the driver which they refused to comply with.
Shelly-Rae Jean FRANK, 46-years-old of Mapleton Township has been charged with Failure or Refuse to Comply with Demand contrary to the Criminal Code. A 90-day Administrative Driver's Licence Suspension (A.D.L.S.) and 7-day Vehicle Impoundment was initiated as per statute. The accused is scheduled to appear in the Ontario court of justice - Guelph on October 27, 2020.
