(MORRIS-TURNBERRY, ON) - Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has laid Impaired Operation charges against a Howick Township resident following an arrest made this past weekend.
On Friday, September 25, 2020 at approximately 10:48 p.m. Huron OPP members responded to a report of a vehicle that had left Harriston Road east of Bluevale and came to rest in a farmer's field.
Upon arrival officers spoke with the driver and immediately detected obvious signs of impairment. The driver was arrested for Impaired Operation and was transported to the Huron OPP Detachment for breath tests. Two samples of breath were analyzed by the Intoxilizer Technician and both samples were found to be over the legal limit.
Brooke THORNTON, 26 years of age from Howick has been charged with Impaired Operation and Operation While Impaired Blood Alcohol Concentration 80 Plus. She has since been released from custody with a court appearance scheduled for November 16, 2020 at the Ontario Court of Justice - Goderich.
