(NORTH PERTH, ON) - The Perth County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) are looking for a suspect after an incident that occurred in Listowel last week.
On Monday September 28 2020, just before 6:00 p.m., two youths were walking on Nichol Avenue South, in the Municipality of North Perth, and were playing around by yelling out loud while in the parking lot of an elementary school. When a car passed by, it is believed the three male occupants thought the youths were yelling at them. The driver exited the vehicle, where he brandished a knife, and uttered threats to one of the youth. The suspect got back in the vehicle and left the scene. There were no injuries as a result of the altercation.
The male suspect is described as approximately 5'7", wearing a black flat hat, black hoodie, grey jogging pants, and an earring.
The vehicle was a black Honda Civic, with three male occupants.
While the investigation is ongoing, the Perth County OPP wants to remind members of the public to always be aware of their surroundings and personal safety.
