(CITY OF KAWARTHA LAKES, ON) Members of the City of Kawartha Lakes Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) attended a local business after receiving a complaint for a break and enter in progress; three people were located and arrested, one was released and two were held for a Bail Hearing.
On March 30, 2024, at approximately 1:25 a.m., City of Kawartha Lakes OPP received a complaint for a break and enter in progress. Officers attended the local business, in Woodville, where the suspects had left prior to police arrival. Through investigation the suspect vehicle was located a short time later on Peniel Rd, and three people were arrested.

Evelyn OAKLEY, 47-year-old of Toronto, was charged with:
Break, Enter a place with intent to commit indictable offence
Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Over $5000
Failure to Comply with Undertaking
Failure to Comply with Release Order other than to attend court
Possession of a Schedule 1 Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking Methamphetamine
Bobby WOOD, 41-year-old of Toronto, was charged with:
Break, Enter a place with intent to commit indictable offence
Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Over $5000
Fail to Comply with Probation Order x2
Failure to Comply with Undertaking
Possession of a Schedule 1 Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking Methamphetamine
All accused are scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Lindsay at a later date.
