(MARKSTAY-WARREN, ON) One person was arrested and charged for impaired driving after police responded to a two-vehicle collision.
On March 31, 2024, shortly after 9:00 p.m., Nipissing West Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a two-vehicle collision on Highway 17, Markstay-Warren.
One driver was arrested for impaired driving, then transported by ambulance to an area hospital with minor injuries.
As a result of the investigation, Naveen JACOB, 34 years-of-age, from Sherbrooke, Quebec, was charged with, operation while impaired alcohol and drugs, and dangerous operation.
The accused was release and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice on May 1, 2024, in Sudbury.
The driver was issued a 90-day Administrative Drivers Licence Suspension and the vehicle was impounded for seven days.
