(CITY OF KAWARTHA LAKES, ON) Members from the City of Kawartha Lakes Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a traffic complaint near Fowlers Corners over the weekend. Through investigation the driver was arrested and charged with Impaired Driving offences and additional charges.
Lawrence TITUS, 35-year-old of SELWYN township was charged with:
· Operation while impaired-alcohol and drugs
· Failure or refusal to comply with demand
· Dangerous operation
In addition to the charges, the drivers received a 90-day licence suspension, and the motor vehicle was impounded for 7 days
Another traffic complaint over the weekend in Fenelon Falls lead to an investigation where the 17-year-old youth driver was arrested and charged with Impaired Driving offences and additional charges.
· YPC Operation while impaired-blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
· Novice driver- B.A.C above zero
· Young driver- B.A.C above zero
· Drive motor-vehicle-perform stunt
In addition to the charges, the drivers received a 90-day licence suspension, and the motor vehicle was impounded for 14 days
