(ST. CLAIR TOWNSHIP, ON) On Sunday May 25, 2024, at just after 12:00 a.m., a uniform member of the Lambton County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) conducted a traffic stop in the area of Lyndock Street, St. Clair Township, in relation to a suspicious motor vehicle investigation.
While on general patrol, an OPP officer observed a suspicious vehicle parked in a parking lot of a local business. In speaking with the driver of the vehicle, the OPP officer suspected the driver of previously consuming alcoholic beverages. A roadside screening device was administered. The driver was consequently placed under arrest and transported to the Lambton OPP Corunna Detachment for breath testing which resulted in readings over the legal limit.
Robin MAJOR, a 44-year-old from Sarnia, ON has been charged with the following:
Operation While Impaired Blood Alcohol Concentration (80 Plus),
Operation While Impaired Alcohol.
The accused has been released and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice-Sarnia on July 16, 2024. The motor vehicle has been impounded for a period of 7 days and the driver has had their license suspended for a period of 90 days.
