(Tay Valley Twp., ON) The Lanark County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged an Ottawa resident with impaired driving after a single vehicle collision.
Lanark officers responded June 17, 2024, shortly after 4:00 a.m. to Highway-7 near Maberly. An eastbound pick-up truck had crossed the road and struck a rock cut.
The driver was transported to hospital with minor injuries. Testing was conducted while at the hospital.
As a result of the investigation, Keith JAY, age 37, has been charged with operation while impaired blood alcohol concentration (80 plus).
The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Perth on July 29, 2024. The individuals drivers licence has been suspended for 90 days (Administrative Drivers Licence Suspension) and vehicle has been impounded for seven days.
