(TEMISKAMING SHORES, ON) The Temiskaming Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have arrested and charged one person with impaired driving after conducting a traffic stop for speeding.
On June 20, 2024, shortly after 7:45 p.m., members of the Temiskaming OPP stopped a motor vehicle for a Highway Traffic Act violation on Highway 11 in the City of Temiskaming Shores. Through investigation, police determined that the driver had been consuming alcoholic beverages. The driver was arrested and transported to the Temiskaming Detachment for further testing.
As a result of the investigation, Dylan GALL, 30 years-of-age of New Liskeard, was charged with:
Operation while impaired blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
Operation while impaired alcohol
Speeding 50+ km/h over posted limit
Drive motor vehicle perform stunt excessive speed
Driver fail to surrender licence
Fail to notify change of address
The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Haileybury Ontario Court of Justice on July 9, 2024. He was issued a 90-day Administrative Drivers Licence Suspension (ADLS), and his motor vehicle was impounded for 7 days.
