(THUNDER BAY, ON) A Brampton resident is facing numerous charges following a search warrant execution in the City of Thunder Bay.
On June 21, 2024, shortly before 2:00 p.m., members of the Thunder Bay Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Community Street Crime Unit with the assistance of the Thunder Bay OPP Detachment, OPP Organized Crime Enforcement Bureau, and Thunder Bay Police Service, executed a Controlled Drugs and Substances Act (CDSA) search warrant at a residence on Newberry Crescent.
The investigation resulted in the arrest of one individual and the seizure of numerous suspected illicit substances including fentanyl, methamphetamine, ecstasy. Six rounds of ammunition, Canadian currency, and other items associated with drug trafficking were also seized.
As a result, Kristan MILLER, 31-years-old, of Brampton, has been arrested and charged under the Criminal Code and CDSA with:
· Possession of a Schedule I Substance Methylenedioxyamphetamine (Ecstasy)
· Possession of a Schedule I Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking Fentanyl
· Possession of a Schedule I Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking Methamphetamine
· Possession of Firearm or Ammunition Contrary to Prohibition Order two counts
· Possession of Proceeds of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5,000
The accused is being held in custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Thunder Bay at a later date.
