(OXFORD COUNTY, ON) – Police were on general patrol in the Town of Tillsonburg when they pulled over a vehicle for the suspicion of impaired driving.
On July 2, 2024, at approximately 10:15 p.m., members of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Oxford detachment were on general patrol when they observed a vehicle being driven in a concerning manner. Police suspected the driver may be impaired and initiated a traffic stop.
Upon further investigation police arrested three individuals for the following Criminal Code of Canada offences:
Melissa HEWER a 52-year-old resident of Tillsonburg was charged with:
Fail to Comply with a Release Order
Possession of an Identity Document
Possession of a Schedule I Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking (three counts)
Donald PETTIT a 35-year-old resident of Bayham was charged with:
Possession of a Schedule I Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking (three counts)
Corrinne SWARTZ a 27-year-old resident of Bayham was charged with:
Possession of a Schedule I Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking (three counts)
The accused individuals have been remanded into custody and will appear in the Ontario Court of Justice, located in Woodstock, on a later date.
