(HEARST, ON) A traffic complaint led the arrest of a commercial motor vehicle (CMV) driver for dangerous driving.
On July 12, 2024, shortly after 3:00 p.m., the James Bay Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a call reporting an aggressive CMV driver on Highway 11 in Gill Township, west of Hearst. The CMV was reported to be passing on blind corners, causing multiple vehicles to drive onto the shoulder. Also, the CMV had sideswiped a passenger vehicle while re-entering the east bound lane, causing damage to the drivers side mirror.
Police located and stopped the subject vehicle on Front Street in Hearst. As a result of the investigation, Kuldeep DHIMAN, 55 years of age of Edmonton, AB, was arrested and charged with dangerous operation of a motor vehicle.
The accused was released and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice on September 4, 2024 in Hearst.
