(CITY OF KAWARTHA LAKES, ON) July 21st at approximately 7:30 p.m. Members from the City of Kawartha Lakes Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a traffic complaint for a possible impaired driver. Officers located the vehicle traveling northbound on Highway 35 near Lindsay.
As a result of the traffic stop, the driver, 39-year-old, Michael Bushey from Lindsay was arrested and charged with
Operation while impaired-alcohol and drugs
Operation while impaired- blood alcohol concentration (80plus)
Driving motor vehicle with open container of liquor
Michael Bushey received a 90-day licence suspension, and the motor vehicle was impounded for 7 days.
Michael Bushey was released from custody with conditions and will appear in court at a future date.
