(GRAND BEND, ON) Officers swift response to a dangerous driving incident resulted in the discovery and arrest of an impaired driver.
On July 21, 2024, just after 2:30 a.m., members of the Lambton County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) conducted a traffic stop on Government Road, Grand Bend.
As a result of the investigation, Matthew GRANTHAM, 40-year-old of Strathroy-Caradoc Township, was charged with the following:
Operation while Impaired- alcohol and drugs
Operation while impaired- blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
Dangerous operation
Mischief renders property dangerous, useless, inoperative or ineffective
A 90-day Administrative Drivers License Suspension (ADLS) and a seven-day vehicle impoundment was initiated as per statute.
The accused has been released from police custody and is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice on August 26, 2024, in the City of Sarnia to speak to the charges.
