(LEAMINGTON, ON) The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Leamington Detachment with the assistance of the West Region Traffic Incident Management Enforcement (TIME) Team is investigating a fatal collision involving a pedestrian.
On Thursday, August 8, 2024, at approximately 11:56 a.m., members of the OPP Leamington Detachment and Essex-Windsor Emergency Medical Service (EMS) responded to a collision at on Erie Street South at Mill Street, Municipality of Leamington.
A pedestrian was struck by a motor vehicle on the roadway. The pedestrian, an 86-year-old female, was transported to a local hospital, where they were pronounced deceased a short time later.
West Region OPP TIME Team members are actively conducting an ongoing investigation and are appealing to the public for assistance. Anyone with relevant information is urged to contact the police at 1-888-310-1122.
