(QUINTE WEST, ON) A Quinte West resident faces numerous criminal and driving related offences after an overnight incident.
On August 14, 2024, members of Quinte West Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were conducting speed enforcement on Dundas Street East in the City of Quinte West. Officers observed a vehicle traveling faster that the posted speed limit, which was confirmed by a speed-reading device. Police attempted to initiate a traffic stop, but the driver failed to stop. An individual was arrested a short time later.
Mark MOON, age 27, is charged with:
Adult Flight from police officer
Obstruct Peace Officer
Personation with intent to avoid arrest, prosecution or obstruct justice
Adult Driving while under suspension
Adult Speeding 1-49 Km/hr over posted limit
The accused was released with an appearance scheduled before the Ontario Court of Justice in Belleville.
