(SIOUX LOOKOUT, ON) On August 17, 2024, shortly after 3:00 p.m., members of the Sioux Lookout Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a report stating a motor vehicle collision had just occurred and the vehicle at fault fled the scene.
Officers located the vehicle a short time later and identified the driver. Through investigation, it was determined that the driver was impaired by alcohol. The driver was subsequently placed under arrest and transported to the Sioux Lookout Detachment for further testing.
As a result, Kimberly LINKLATER, 30-years-old, of Sioux Lookout, has been charged with:
Dangerous Operation
Operation While Impaired blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
Operation While Impaired alcohol and drugs
Novice driver B.A.C. above zero
Driver fail to surrender insurance card
The accused has been released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Sioux Lookout on October 1, 2024.
